2015 Bucks County World Language Tournament
CONGRATULATIONS TO WTHS ADVANCED GERMAN TEAM: 1st Place at the Bucks County World Language Tournament! - Cameron Zurmuhl, Zack Larmer, Justin Cammarota and Billly Halter!
CONGRATULATIONS TO WTHS NOVICE TEAM: Nicoletta Bates, Nicole Fleck, Victoria Alanis, Joel Cammarota, Jeromy Hafer, Megan Sellers, Kayla B., CJ Larmer
Our German Level 3 team, as well as all WTHS teams, performed admirably!
The Advanced competition involved 2 sets of debates (each team debated against 2 different teams from the county, with different topics each time.) The WTHS German Advanced team debated against Council Rock South and Pennsbury. The advanced teams include a mix of level-four and advanced-placement students.
The level-three team (2-4 participants per school, per language) performed, after only a short preparation time, three different skits based on scenarios prepared by the hosting school.
The Novice team is a mix of level-one and level-two students. The event is a academic-bowl style event, with questions covering culture, spelling, and translation.
