German and French are now typically offered to 7th grade students (going in to 8th grade, who can take a world language.) The courses are offered at William Tennent High School during the first period. Students take the bus to the high school, and return to their home schools at the end of first period by bus.
German 1 is taught by one of the German teachers, Frau Friedle or Herr Kerwood.
French 1 is taught by the French teacher, Madame Sauvion.
If a student has the drive and the desire to wake up a little earlier, then he or she will enjoy the experience of taking a course at the high school one year earlier than most fellow classmates.
Of course, a student can elect to take Spanish 1 in 8th grade, and switch to German or French in 9th grade.
